Make Rose Oil At Home

Make a versatile oil at home using rose petals.

Rose oil has numerous properties that make it beneficial to human health. Used topically rather than internally, rose oil commonly is employed for skin care, according to "Rose Magazine." Rose oil benefits different skin types, such as dry, sensitive or aging, because of its tonic and astringent effect on skin capillaries. Rose oil can reduce redness caused by enlarged capillaries just under the skin's surface, according to the magazine. The stronger the perfume in the petals, the stronger the scent will be in the rose oil. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Pour 1 cup jojoba or olive oil into a bowl. Add 1 cup rose petals and crush the petals using a pestle to release the oils. Leave the petals in the oil for at least 24 hours and as long as one week.
