Raw Organic Restaurants In Reno

For those who embrace nature and all things natural--Reno and Tahoe have it.

Reno is Nevada's other big city. While the glitter of Vegas may not be present, the city offers much in the way of entertainment and was voted "number one in outdoor fun" by Rand McNally, according to the Visit Reno Tahoe website. You can ski the morning away at one of the Reno Tahoe ski resorts and spend an afternoon at the beach on Lake Tahoe. You can fish, then go rock climbing or horseback riding before enjoying a night on the town at area casinos and clubs. If, before that night out, you have time for a meal and prefer vegan, raw or vegetarian fare, you'll have little trouble finding it in Reno.

Anthony's Dandelion Deli and Cafe

Anthony's Dandelion Deli and Cafe offers vegan and vegetarian salads, sandwiches and entrees as well as burgers and other meat-based dishes. The cafe walls are painted vivid reds, blues, pinks and greens, and the restaurant's signature flower, the dandelion, decorates tables. Specials include homemade hummus and tabbouleh with lettuce, tomato, onion, sprouts and a side of spicy mustard. The cafe is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is open for dinner most Fridays from 6 p.m. to 8:30 pm. It features takeout but not delivery, is wheelchair accessible and does not take reservations or have outdoor seating.
