Home Remedy For Dry Hair With Eggs Olive Oil & Vinegar

Home Remedy for Dry Hair With Eggs, Olive Oil & Vinegar

Dry hair can be the result of many factors. Overuse of heated styling tools such as straighteners, curling irons or blow dryers can dry hair out quickly. Use of alcohol-based products such as hair gels, some hair sprays and hair color can also dry out and damage hair. Instead of spending a lot of money at a hair salon, many people treat their hair with a home remedy made from eggs, olive oil and vinegar. Does this Spark an idea?

Eggs

Eggs are loaded with lecithin and protein. The lecithin provides moisture and shine, and the protein adds strength to the hair shaft to protect it from drying and splitting.

Olive Oil

Olive oil has been used for centuries as a moisturizer. Olive oil benefits the hair by sealing in moisture, improving hair elasticity and providing overall conditioning.

Vinegar

Vinegar is used as a home remedy to add shine to dull, dry hair. It can be added to an egg and olive oil mixture, or used as a final rinse after the egg and olive oil have been rinsed from the hair.

Putting It Together

To make a home treatment for your hair, mix two raw eggs and 2 tbsp. of olive oil in a bowl. Cover your hair with the mixture, and massage your scalp as you do. Cover your head with a warm towel or a shower cap and leave it in for 45 minutes. Rinse well with lukewarm water, as you don't want to cause the egg to harden. Perform a final rinse with apple cider vinegar to give your hair added shine. The vinegar also helps clean the hair shafts of any egg or olive oil that wasn't completely removed.

Experiment

Knowing that eggs, olive oil and vinegar are good for your hair, you can experiment with making your own home remedy recipes. Use the items in different combinations or try them alone. However you apply them will yield benefits.
