Kids and adults love chicken tenders. What's not to love? They are crisp, meaty, and they just beg to be dipped into a delicious sauce. Unfortunately, deep fried chicken tenders are full of fat and calories. This is a huge turn-off. Thankfully there are ways you can make this delicious snack appealing to your conscious as well as your taste buds. Read on to learn make healthy chicken tenders.

Instructions

1. Marinate in fat-free buttermilk and spices. Buttermilk is a wonderful way to add flavor and tenderness. Spices also add flavor without adding any calories.

2. Apply a healthy coating. Chicken tenders are often coated in a batter and then dipped in flour. This adds too many calories. Instead, dip your chicken tenders in crushed cheese crackers or baked potato chips.

3. Use nonstick cooking spray. Nonstick cooking spray makes baked foods crispy. Spray your cookie sheet and chicken tenders to prevent your coating from being soggy.

4. Prepare a healthy dipping sauce. Many people choose ranch dressing as a dipping sauce, but it can be loaded with fat. Instead, look for fat-free sauces, such as barbecue sauce or honey mustard.
