Know How Long To Store Cooked Meats And Poultry

Do you always wonder just how long that cooked meat will last in your fridge? Well, if you make a note of the date you placed it in the fridge, you can decide how long to leave it there by using these general rules on storing cooked meats. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

1. Store cooked meat and dishes containing meat; they should last three to four days in a 35 to 40 degree fridge.

2. Store gravy and meat broths; they will last about one to two days in a 35 to 40 degree fridge.

3. Store chicken and turkey (pieces covered with broth or sauce, or not covered). All of these poultry dishes will last about one to two days in a 35 to 40 degree fridge.

4. Store cooked poultry dishes. These will also last about one to two days in a 35 to 40 degree fridge.

5. Store fried chicken. This will last about one to two days in a 35 to 40 degree fridge, but the longer you leave it in the fridge, the soggier the crust will become.
