Instructions

Baked Chicken

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Rinse the chicken and potatoes under cold water and rub off any debris. Poke holes into the potatoes. Line the baking pan with tin foil.

2. Remove the chicken skin for a healthier diet. Add seasoning, such as garlic powder, Cajun spices, onion salt or lemon pepper to the outside of the chicken. Place it into the pan with several whole potatoes.

3. Place pan into the oven. Set timer for one hour. Remove the food from the oven and put it on plates to serve.

Grilled Chicken

4. Place clean chicken into a sealable plastic bag. Add 1 cup of marinade to the bag, such as Italian dressing, salsa or teriyaki sauce. Shake the bag to coat the chicken well and set it in the refrigerator for at least an hour.

5. Turn the gas grill on or heat the coals. Run half a lemon over the grill. Remove the chicken from the bag and put it on the grill. Close the lid.

6. Turn chicken over in five-minute intervals until it is cooked. Remove from the heat and serve it.
