Put Consecrated Oil In A Bottle

Put Consecrated Oil in a Bottle

Consecrated oil is used in many different religions and is mostly used to anoint or bless a person. Olive oil is generally used as the oil to be consecrated, although sometimes fragranced oils will be used, depending on the religion and the intended use. Vials can be bought to store oil, but a simple bottle with a cork or lid can be used if you are keeping your oil at home.

Instructions

1. Sacred oils are part of many religious rituals.

Place the bottle you wish to put the oil in on a hard surface, and place a towel or old newspaper underneath the bottle in case of spillages.

2. Hold the funnel above the bottle top and then just let it touch the inside part of the neck of the bottle.

3. Start to pour the consecrated oil into the funnel, holding the funnel still whilst you are pouring.

4. Take the funnel away and place the cork or lid on the bottle so the oil won't leak from the bottle. Store the oil at room temperature.
