Make Easter Jelly Bean Fudge

Instructions


1. Line a nine-inch square pan with foil and grease it lightly with butter or vegetable oil.


2. Melt the chocolate chips according to the package directions or use a medium saucepan on very low heat. Stir constantly until the chips are completely melted. Add frosting and stir until the mixture is smooth.


3. Remove this mixture from the heat and let it can cool slightly. It should be warm enough to stir easily but not hot enough to melt the jelly beans.


4. Add the jelly beans and stir until they are evenly distributed. Spread the fudge into the prepared pan and allow it cool to room temperature.


5. Cover the pan tightly and place it in the refrigerator for at least two hours. Lift the foil out of the pan and cut the fudge into three dozen pieces.


6. Use a teaspoon or two of flavored extracts as a slight variation to this recipe. The more popular choices include vanilla and coconut.
