Castor oil is a natural deterrent for many small pests, including squirrels. In a spray bottle, mix 2 cups of water with 1/2 cup of castor oil. Add in a spoonful of liquid dish soap, which will help the solution stick to floors and walls for an extended period of time. Spray around the attic, focusing especially on areas where squirrels may be entering from.
