Buy Food Subscriptions

Many food subscriptions include fresh produce.

Do you know where your food comes from? One way to know for sure is to purchase a food subscription. Food subscriptions entitle the subscriber to regular deliveries or permission to purchase food from a given provider. You can buy food subscriptions for anything from coffee and wine to meat and produce. Locally grown produce subscription services in particular have become popular. With a little research on the type of food you want and the subscription services available, you can buy yourself a food subscription. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

1. Determine the type of food you wish to buy. You can purchase a subscription for everything from locally grown organic fruits and vegetables to baked goods and dairy products.

2. Determine the type of service you wish to subscribe to. Food subscriptions generally deliver food to you or allow you to select and transport the food yourself. Food subscriptions that do not deliver generally have a set time of the week or month during which you may select from their available foods.

3. Search online to find the type of food subscription services available in your area. Local co-op grocery stores often have listings of local food subscription services.

4. Assess whether the benefit of subscribing will outweigh the cost. If you do not plan on purchasing the food afforded by your subscription often or using the delivered food in the volumes in which it comes, you may not benefit from a food subscription.

5. Contact the company from which you wish to purchase a food subscription. Consult their sales representatives as to the different rates and types of subscriptions available so you may purchase the ideal subscription for your needs.
