Kill Roaches In Walls

Kill roaches in your walls

Cockroaches are common household pests that can carry germs and allergens. Although most homeowners have experienced seeing a roach or two every once in a while, most don't realize that for every roach you see, there are several crawling around and multiplying within your home's walls. You can kill roaches in walls very easily with safe, nontoxic household items. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

Make Nontoxic Roach Baits

1. Pour 1/4 cup of boric acid powder into the bowl. If you have asthma, or another lung disease, do this near an open window or outdoors. While boric acid is safe for humans and animals, it can irritate or trigger asthma in some people if there isn't proper ventilation.

2. Add 1/3 cup of peanut butter to the boric acid powder. Mix the combination well, using the fork. Make sure to work the boric acid throughout the peanut butter.

3. Add 1 tbsp. of syrup, honey or molasses. These are sweet and have strong scents that will help attract the roaches. Again, mix with the fork, working the mixture well. If the mixture is too thin, add another tablespoon of boric acid and a teaspoon of peanut butter. The final mixture should be the consistency of a thick cookie dough.

4. Pull small pieces of the mixture out of the bowl (approximately 1 tbsp.). Roll the pieces into small balls or sausage shapes. These are your roach baits.

Placing the Boric Acid Roach Baits

5. Find areas in your home where there are openings to the walls. Common places are under sinks and around pipes.

6. Slip a bait into the wall through the openings around pipes.

7. Go up into the attic and toss some of the roach baits into the wall openings that are open to the attic.
