Sometimes you have to look for vegetarian options.
Manhattan, Kansas, home to Kansas State University, has been dubbed "The Little Apple" because of its lively entertainment and varied restaurants and clubs. The only restaurant in Manhattan that offers strictly vegetarian fare is the People's Grocery and Deli. The deli offers limited seating.

To Please the Whole Family
Salads are a popular choice.
The biggest concentration of eateries is at the Student Union at Kansas State University. The Food Court offers many vegetarian choices, including Subway and Quizno sub shops and the Garden Emporium, which offers a large salad buffet. There also are choices for nonvegetarians.

Vegetarians can usually find menu options that will satisfy their hunger and their desire to adhere to a vegetarian diet. Many restaurants will prepare meals specifically for vegetarians that aren't on the menu by substituting or omitting ingredients. Many times a deli is a great option because you can order exactly what you want, and Manhattan has several to choose from.
